New Kitchen

Rich worked his sexy ass off while we were in California, remodeling the kitchen of the house we own there. Here you can witness the stunning transformation (although I wish I had "before" pictures). The tile countertop was deteriorating so badly that it was caving in in places. The cabinets and drawers fell to the floor almost every time they were opened, and there appeared to be no sub-floor beneath the kitchen sink (it turned out there was...it was just covered so badly with a layer of "ick" that it was unidentifiable). Suffice it to say, it was beyond time for a new kitchen.

The drywall was removed from about 5 feet down, all around the kitchen

The pipe where the cooktop used to be. The flooring in this area was particularly difficult, because the previous owners had layered pergo-type flooring over linoleum, over tile in some places, and it ended up being uneven and hard to cover.

New moisture-resistant sheetrock
Regular sheetrock

It's starting to look like a kitchen again

FINISHED!!

I've got to know...is there *anything* y'all don't know how to do?!

What a great job--how long did it take to get all of that done?

And my final question is this, do you want to come to sunny and warm Orlando to help us do the same??
